The ride creates a low-impact aerobic total body workout, but if you’re up for a more intense workout this can be achieved by pedalling faster. There are lots of options for activities to enjoy on hydro bikes; they can be used for leisurely rides around the town, a fast-paced cardio workout, and even for fishing or a photography session!

Castlewellan Peace Maze (Castlewellan)
The Castlewellan Peace Maze is the world’s largest permanent hedge maze. It was created to commemorate the signing of the Good Friday Agreement , representing the path towards a peaceful future for Northern Ireland.
The huge maze spans an impressive length of over 2.7 acres with a hedge length of over 2 miles! The original idea was developed by anthropologist and landscape designer Beverley Lear. However, to create a sense of community and common ownership, the opinions of around 4,000 schoolchildren were taken into account. This community spirit was extended as individuals from all across Northern Ireland came to help plant the maze trees, with a total of 6,000 trees forming the maze walls!
The Salmon of Knowledge (Belfast)
If you’re planning on travelling to Northern Ireland’s capital in your motorhome or campervan why not explore The Salmon of Knowledge, AKA the Belfast Big Fish! Commissioned in 1999 by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, this immersive piece of work celebrates the regeneration of the Lagan River and the return of fish to the river!
The 10-metre-long statue is a nod to the Irish folklore tale The Salmon of Knowledge . As you gaze upon each of its intricate ceramic scales you’ll see different scenes of Belfast’s history, the piece even includes contributions from Belfast’s school children! An interesting detail about the piece is that within the Salmon of Knowledge lies a time capsule storing information, images, and poetry about Belfast.

Miles away from the deserts of Egypt, within Co Derry forest is Northern Ireland’s only Egyptian style pyramid! In the 1800s, after a grand tour of Egypt, Lord Garvagh was inspired and upon returning home had an 18ft by 21ft pyramid erected. Initially this mysterious and striking structure was intended to be Garvagh’s burial place, however, he later had a change of heart and had the structure sealed.
Although not the scale of an Egyptian pyramid, the unique rarity and location of this structure give it an enchanting and magical ambience. If you visit Garvagh Pyramid, the surrounding forest offers many paths perfect for cycling or taking a stroll, it’s the perfect place to experience a peaceful environment and scenic natural beauty.
Daffodil Lane (Ballygalley)

Take a stroll down Daffodil Lane, a rustic path lined with daffodils and wildflowers!
An interesting fact about Daffodil Lane is that up until quite recently there were no Daffodils! For years the path name didn’t really make sense due to the absence of daffodils, until in 2017 when a volunteer group called Ballygalley Biodiversity Group decided to revitalise the area! They planted thousands of daffodil bulbs and wildflowers, and branches were cut to let more sunlight brighten the path and maximise the growth of plant life!
Some of the best times to visit this location is in March and April when flowers are in full bloom! If you’re visiting the lane, it’s the perfect spot for a hike, taking you through Chaines wood to reach the lane and then the route continues on to the beautiful Carnfunnock Country Park!
Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail AKA The Stairway to Heaven (Enniskillen)
The Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail is a unique Northern Irish hill walk, also known as The Stair Way to Heaven due to its long stretching staircase that leads up the hillside. On this 7.5-mile hike you’ll journey over tracks, boardwalks and then tackle the steep staircase!
A great advantage of this is that hikers can travel over the blanket bog without concerns of getting wet or muddy, while also ensuring the natural and delicate bog environment is preserved!
After you mastered the long staircase, you’ll be led to a viewing platform on Cuilcagh Mountain. This vantage point sits at a whopping 2000 ft! From this spot you’ll be rewarded with incredible and breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding landscapes and lowlands!
The Gobbins Cliff Path (Ballystrudder, Islandmagee)
Described as the “Most dramatic coastal walk in Europe” the Gobbins Cliff Path is a thrilling experience and the perfect attraction to visit if you’re considering touring the Causeway Coastal Route in your campervan or motorhome. Take a tour of this historic coastal path that runs across bridges, past caves and through a tunnel, and from the clifftop offers incredible sights of the Seven Sisters caves, Kraken Cave, and Heddles Port.
Some notable highlights of the Gobbins Cliff Path are:
The Tubular Bridge
The Tubular Bridge’s unusual design made it a popular symbol of the cliff path, so don’t forget to snap a picture of this iconic circular, spiralling bridge if you visit.
The Tunnel
This dark pathway will take you below sea level where you’ll hear the roar of the sea crashing against the walls!
The Aquarium
The elevated path of the Aquarium will guide you over rock pools, where you will witness molluscs, sponges and red seaweed, and shoals of tiny fish darting around beneath your feet.
