5 Campsites for Halloween

Halloween is approaching and many families will think about getting away with the children to create an extra special and memorable trip this year. Many of these campsites will be running Halloween themed events throughout half term so take a look at our top 5 Halloween campsites:

Gulliver’s Camping and Caravanning

Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes offers many events over the Halloween period including a Fear Farm from the 24th – 30th October. The tickets cost just £7 to enter and it features a ‘Tree Top terror’ section, ‘Genetic’, ‘Observation Tower’ and ‘Quarantine’ section. Gulliver’s also has a Trick and Treat week from the 24th – 31st October which consists of a trail with spooky tricks and lots of treats. The camping and caravanning site is just a short walk from Gulliver’s land. To park your campervan, it will cost around £7 – £12 per person, per night.

Durdle Door Holiday Park

Based in Lulworth Cove, this holiday park has a range of facilities and activities including horse riding, sailing and fishing. The park has everything you need with a children’s play area, restaurants, bars and even Wi-Fi to ensure you can keep in contact with everyone. There are stories of hauntings at Bindon Hill where Roman legionaries lost their footing and fell on to the rocks of Arish Mell. Prices for the night vary at around £18 per night.

Callow Top Holiday Park

This family friendly holiday park has everything you will need on-site for your Halloween weekend away including cycle hire, a playground, an outdoor swimming pool and evening entertainment. The park holds a Halloween disco so that everyone can get dressed up in their spookiest outfits and dance the night away! There is always a prize for best dressed. The following week there will be a bonfire, firework display, BBQ and disco. It costs around £32 per night for a motorhome, caravan or campervan which includes 2 people and 1 car. To add another person, it is £1.50 per night for a child aged 4 – 16 and £2.50 per night for an adult (17 years +).

Deepdale

For any small campervan owners, this campsite is ideal for you. The park is offering a Halloween party with a prize for the best dressed, apple bobbing, face painting and more. A BBQ will be included at the party and there are plenty of prizes to be won. Best of all, the party is FREE for all guests staying at the campsite!

Masons Campsite

In 2008 a couple opened the gates of this campsite and introduced the ‘rent-a-tent’ and in 2009 they added 30 more electric hook-up points and water points. The campsite kept growing and has been voted in the ‘Top 100 campsites in the UK’ by the Guardian and best wild swimming spots by the Sunday Times. On Halloween Masons has prizes for the best dressed, games, pumpkin carving, storytelling, face-painting and much more. The event finishes off with a fireworks display. To park up your campervan or motorhome it will cost around £20 and you can choose whether you have an electric hook up or not. Additional adults cost £7 and for additional 2-15 year olds it costs £3.50 per night. There is so much to do around this campsite which is based in the Yorkshire Dales so you wont find yourself with nothing to do!
